USD 495 is seeking an Elementary Teacher for the 2026–27 school year to work with students at Larned Elementary School.

USD 495 is a PK–12 district serving about 850 students. We are a small, close-knit district where students are known by name and supported by staff who work closely together. Our elementary school focuses on strong foundations, positive relationships, and helping every student grow academically and socially.

 

Position Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students in a supportive and engaging classroom environment

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction across core subject areas

• Support student growth academically, socially, and emotionally

• Build positive relationships with students and families

• Communicate clearly with colleagues and school staff

• Participate in school and district activities

Qualifications

• Kansas teaching license with the appropriate elementary education endorsement, or ability to obtain

• Elementary teaching experience preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A student-first approach to teaching and learning

• Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
